Emotional Wellness During the Fertility Journey

By Hatch & Hope Wellness Group

Trying to conceive—whether naturally or through assisted treatments—can be emotionally intense. Here’s how to care for your heart as much as your body.

💗 1. Feel Your Feelings

  • It’s okay to feel grief, anger, hope, or fear—sometimes all in the same day.

  • Give yourself permission to cry, rest, or celebrate—no emotion is wrong.

  • Journaling, art, or voice notes can help release what’s inside.

🤍 2. Be Gentle With Yourself

  • You are doing your best.

  • Speak to yourself as you would to a friend: “You’re strong, even when you feel tired.”
“You are not broken. You are brave.”

🫶 3. Build Your Support Circle

  • Connect with others on a similar journey (support groups, forums, fertility communities).

  • Share openly with someone you trust.

  • Consider therapy or fertility coaching for 1:1 guidance.

🧘 4. Regulate Stress Daily

  • Try calming practices like:

    • Meditation

    • Deep breathing

    • Gentle yoga

    • Mindful walks in nature

  • Make restorative sleep a priority.

💬 5. Set Boundaries

  • It’s okay to say: “I’d rather not talk about it right now.”
“Thanks for asking, but I’m focusing on taking care of myself.”

🌸 A Loving Reminder

You are whole—no matter the outcome.
You are worthy of love, care, and rest—right now.
